I had a chance to see a fantastic movie written and directed by Ramin Serry. The movie is called MARYAM. The story is culmination of real life events that took place around Iran's revolution from the point of views of both the media as well as through the eyes of a young Iranian-American girl (Played by Mariam Parris) who grew up in the united states.

There are many layers to each character which are fully developed as the story progresses. I think everything about the movie is superb. That includes an intelligent written dialogue between the characters, the fully development of each persona as they relate to the story, the exceptional choice of cast members as well as great transition editing. To top it all the movie has a fantastic soundtrack which carry us through the tides and ebbs of the story which took place more than 20 years ago.

I hope in the future the movie would be available on DVD for purchase.I think this movie was among the very few movies which deserve attention amongst especially the new generations of Iranian-Americans like myself. You can visit the official website by clicking here I definetly recommend going to see it more than once and take friends with you :-)
